Receipt Hog is a great app for those starting out on a savings journey. It’s simple to use, and points rack up quickly.

You can download it here and get started.

In the app, snap pictures of all of your receipts from dining out to grocery trips and earn points that you can redeem for gift cards or money via Paypal. Reward options start as low as 1000 Points.

You can also connect your grocery and mass merchandiser accounts to earn extra points.  In addition to points, there is a game called Hog Slots, where you spin the wheel to win extra points.

Right now, through December 31, 2025, you can earn points and spins to earn extra points!

  • Upload 5 e-Receipts: 50 Spins
  • Upload 30 paper receipts: 25 Spins

Earn Money with Verasight!

I’ve been a member of Verasight for a few years now. I’m not sure how I got turned onto it; it was probably an email I received.

Verasight is a little different than other survey sites.

  • You cash out only in $10 increments.
  • Rewards are available via PayPal, Venmo, or Gift Cards. I always take Venmo.
  • You only receive an email when there is a survey for you to take.
  • 90% of the time, you are pre-qualified to take the survey. You will not spend time filling out a survey only to be denied or told you don’t qualify.
  • There is no referral program.

It doesn’t take much to redeem a reward. Most surveys are 500-1000 points and take less than 10 minutes to complete. For every 10 surveys you complete, you receive a 1000-point ($1.00) bonus.

I recently cashed out a $10 reward, and now I’m 1/3 of the way to my next reward with a 3300-point balance.

Verasight is definately a quick way to earn a little extra cash.

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for a while, you know how much I love Pinecone Research. I’ve been singing its praises for years.

I received an email the other day, they are looking for new members. Signing up is easy, just start here. 

Here are the guidelines:

  • Must be 18+ years old, and living in the US.
  • Must not live in the same household as a current panel member.

They send you an email notification when you have a survey available. Complete the survey and earn points to be redeemed for either cash or prizes. Occasionally, they will send you a product to test, too.

  1. Shop at participating stores. Match with the offer, purchase the product at one of the participating stores, and save the receipt.
  2. Upload receipt. Take a snapshot of your full receipt, and follow the instructions in your confirmation email to upload it before the offer expires.
  3. Get your cash back. Within 72 hours, your receipt will be verified, and you’ll receive an email with your cashback details.

Have you heard of Aisle? It’s a cash back program, where a majority of the products available have 100% back rebates.

It’s super simple:

  • Visit Aisle. Enter your zip code to find rebates available near you.
  • Select your rebates, enter your cell number, and Aisle will text you a reminder and details on how to submit your rebate (it’s via text).
  • You can also enter your zip code and they’ll text you the three closest stores that sell the product!
  • Purchase the products, snap a pic of your receipt, and text it.
  • Money is paid via Venmo or Paypal.

Connect your fitness tracker to Evidation and be rewarded when you exercise, sleep, and log calorie or water intake. They also have surveys, short articles, and listicles to check out for bonus points.

It is non-intrusive, and you’ll earn points that can be redeemed for cash via PayPal, or gift cards, or you can donate your earnings to various charities.

I earn about $50 a year with Evidation. It’s a nice little perk for being active.
