It’s that time of year when we start thinking about end-of-year holidays, gift-giving, parties, and new clothes. All of those things cost money. I’m buckling down on my survey taking to earn a little extra money for end-of-year and holiday fun.  Here are some of my favorite survey companies:

Online Surveys with Mypoints– I consistently earn $5-$10/day in Amazon or Target Gift Cards doing MyPoints surveys. Here is a post about how I earned Amazon Gift Cards with MyPoints surveys.

Health and Wellness Online Community – Pays $200 – $400

They have a lot of stuff in South Orange County and less often in San Diego County. Currently, they are recruiting people age 21+ for a two-part study about health and wellness.
Not all participants will be selected for the second part.

The first part consists of a 5-day online community with approx. 2 hours of activities over 5 days. The dates of the online community are 10/19 to 10/23, and it pays $200 for your time.

If selected, the second part will be a 60-min. tour at a local fitness club. The dates this takes place are 11/2 to 11/6, and it pays $200 for your time.

PRC Research Study: California Family Discussions About Life Pays $125

They are recruiting adults 18 and older for a virtual discussion group with parents and guardians of children and teens in California. The researchers are currently developing a public health campaign about youth and young adult cannabis use. As part of this campaign, they are conducting research that will inform the development of campaign messaging. This study is sponsored by the California Department of Public Health. This study will require you to participate in a 90-minute online focus group.

2026 California Climate Credit- Savings on Your August Utility Bill!

It’s that time again! On your August California Utility Bill (Which includes PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, Bear Valley, Liberty, and Pacific Power), you will receive a California Climate Credit. For SDG&E customers, the amount is $49.36. This comes off the Electric portion of your bill. 

The California Climate Credit is directly related to the State’s Cap-and-Trade Program, which requires polluters to pay for their climate pollution. Credits are distributed in April and October each year. Credits appear automatically on your bill and are designed to help utility customers during the transition to a more sustainable future.
