2025: New Ibotta Accounts can Score Free Thanksgiving Dinner!

Ibotta has an offer for new Ibotta members, where they can redeem cashback offers to make part of their Thanksgiving feast free after rebate.

If you are already an Ibotta user, have no fear- there is a freebie for you, it just requires a little work.

Existing members can earn a free turkey when they refer their friends to Ibotta to claim their 100% cash back turkey offer! Just make sure they sign up using your referral code, and your turkey offer will be available once they redeem their first offer!

If you are new to Ibotta, you will receive the following rebates loaded into the app:

New members will receive offers for:

  • Any brand Turkey Roast up to $13.65
  • McCormick Gravy Packet
  • Edwards Whole Pie
  • Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
  • Idahoan Mashed Potatoes

You can download the Ibotta app here. When you use my referral code qmo4a, you will receive the amazing offers above! If you are looking for a good starter offer? Here is a free after-rebate offer I found in Ibotta!

I use Ibotta in conjunction with other apps like Fetch Rewards- I add all of my receipts to Fetch, each one gives me at least 25 points, and gets me closer to rewards like CVS Gift Cards, Darden Restaurant Gift Cards, or Vons/Albertsons Grocery Store Gift Cards.

Disclosure: this Post contains my referral code. I may earn a referral credit or bonus if you sign up through my link. I do not need the Turkey Roast, however if the offer becomes available to me because someone signs up, I will purchase it and donate it to someone in my community via my local Buy Nothing group.

Save More with Walmart Cash!

Have you heard of Walmart Cash? I just learned about it today. I don’t shop there too often, and it seems like a good program for those people who shop at Walmart with regularity.

Similar to Ibotta, when you shop through the Walmart App, or on the website, visit the Walmart Cash page and clip any offers that appeal. When you purchase those items, you will receive Walmart Cash. Amounts vary by products, and offers change frequently. These offers cannot be stacked with Ibotta.

Here are a few of the current offers.

You can redeem your Walmart Cash on your next purchase, or you can head over to Money Center or Customer Service to cash out- you’ll need the Walmart app or be logged onto the website on your mobile device. More info can be found here.

Rebate App Round-Up!

I post about rebate apps a lot. They are one of my favorite ways to try new products.

Paper coupons are seemingly a thing of the past, and apps are where it’s at these days.

Most of them work the same:

  • Select offers that you are interested in and opt in.
  • Visit your local store and purchase the item(s). Most apps/websites will give you a list of stores selling the item(s).
  • Submit the receipt (and sometimes you have to scan the UPC of the product) via the website/app/text message.
  • Funds are usually sent via Venmo or Paypal. If you haven’t signed up for Venmo, check out my post about it here.

I mostly use my Venmo account for rebates. I have a Venmo card to access the funds.

Here are a few of my favorite rebate apps:

Sometimes savings apps like Ibotta have free after rebate offers. They are usually retailer-specific and only valid for a short amount of time.

5 Tips to Save on Black Friday (and earlier)

Black Friday shopping is not my jam, nor has it ever been. I know a lot of people love getting up at the crack of dawn to save money, but I’d rather snuggle with my cat.

Some Retailers have already started their Black Friday Deals: JCPenney, Walmart, and Target have deals up on their sites and in-store now. Here are my top five tips to help you save a little more on Black Friday (and beyond):

  1. Make a List! This seems like a no-brainer, but make a list of each person you are shopping for and then list a few possibilities. There are still supply change issues, and that means some stores may be out of what you had planned.
  2. Use Rewards Programs to your advantage! I’m talking about Target Circle, Target Red Card, JCPenney Rewards, MyPoints, Swagbucks, and Ibotta. I did a bunch of holiday shopping yesterday online at JCP. JCPenney Rewards members earn a $10 bonus Reward for every $50 spent in-store and online on qualifying purchases 11/18/22-11/30/22. Limit 3 bonus Rewards per customer. I had already planned to do the bulk of my holiday shopping there anyway, so these rewards are a bonus that I’ll use to buy kid socks, which both kids need. And if you are looking for coupon codes- Don’t forget the Honey Browser Extension!
  3. Make a Budget and STICK TO IT. Seriously. And if you do stockings- take those into consideration as part of the budget.  I save Amazon Gift card codes all year for gift shopping, and I set aside a small count each month in a separate saving account for holidays and gift-giving occasions. I earn Amazon Gift cards by doing Research studies (like the ones I post about all the time) and surveys on  MyPoints and Swagbucks.
  4. If you shop in person, take cash. If you are easily tempted, take cash, and leave your cards at home. This forces you to stay on budget.
  5. Homemade Gifts are awesome!  If like me, your budget is very small this year, don’t forget to flex your craft/artistic/cooking skills. I make hats, cookies, pj pants, and aprons usually for several folks on my gift list. I use supplies that I already have on hand. I love making soup, so I’ll be making several large batches, freezing 4-6 serving-size portions, and giving them to family members.

And finally, remember that the winter holidays are not about gifts. They are about coming together with friends and family to celebrate. If you having a difficult time making the magic happen for your family this year, check out my 2022 Holiday Resources post here. In December I’ll be hosting an Amazon Gift Card giveaway as well.

Deal Alert at Walmart: Degree Body Wash & Soak (NO COUPONS NEEDED)

Right now there is a great deal on Degree Body Wash & Soak ar Walmart when you use both Fetch Rewards and Ibotta.

I took advantage of this deal on Friday morning.

You can do this deal up to three times (and you can buy all three together if you want, no need to do separate transactions).

  1. Degree Body Wash & Soak $5.47/each
  2. Submit to Ibotta for $2.00 rebate (limit 3)
  3. Submit to Fetch Rewards for 2000 points each (that’s equal to $2 in rewards each). There is a limit of 5 on Fetch, but I only bought 3.
  4. Pay $16.41 plus tax out of pocket
  5. Submit to Ibotta and Fetch Rewards and receive $12.00 back between both.

Total after rebates: $4.41 plus tax or $1.47 plus tax each.

It’s easy and takes minutes. I submitted both rebates before I pulled out of the Walmart parking lot!

If you haven’t signed up for Fetch Rewards yet, or want to learn more, check out my post here. Find the Fetch Rewards app in your app store, and when you download it and scan any receipt, use my code ND2TB when you sign up and you’ll score 2,000 bonus points.
