Earn Gift Cards with Surveys on MyPoints.com!

Last week was a no-work week for me, which is why you saw a lot more posts from me. At my 9-5 job, when we are closed, we don’t work, which means….. I don’t get paid.

Except for the holiday and the day after (it’s a floating holiday), that means I had 3 unpaid days off last week. What’s a girl to do, besides clean out the closets, steam clean the couch, take the kids to the zoo, and visit the eye doctor?

SURVEYS!

I spent my time between loads of laundry/meal prep/dishes and at 6 am every day (the cat doesn’t understand days off) doing surveys to earn a little extra money for the holidays. And Groceries.

I completed most of the surveys on MyPoints.com, which, in addition to offering a large number of surveys, also helps you save and earn money shopping online.

Here are some of the surveys available as of Monday night that I qualify for.

For reference, 1600 points are equal to a $10 gift card. I usually get gift cards to stores where I can buy groceries, or I get gift cards that I can give as gifts.

I also completed surveys on Verasight, where I cashed out $10.00, and Paid ViewPoint, where I cashed out $15.00. I completed a few other misc. surveys I had in my email, including 4 software reviews on G2. Those pay $10 each. I was able to cash out about $90.00 in gift cards from My Points.

I didn’t get paid for any of the following, but I might later down the road if I get picked for a PRC research study. I post about those about once a week, or when they send me emails. They have a lot of various research studies available for people all across the US. Here are some I posted last week.

Earn Cash with PaidViewPoint!

I did it again!

I just cashed out from Paid Viewpoint so I figured it was a great time to share it with you again.

I’ve been a member for 9 years, and I do a couple of surveys each week. Each Survey you are sent, you are pre-qualified for. That means that you won’t spend 20 minutes doing a survey only to be told, “Sorry, we don’t need you!” and you don’t get paid. Paid ViewPoint surveys vary in bounty/amount earned, starting at .10 and working up to $5.00.

What I like is that Paid Viewpoint tells you how long each survey will take and how much it pays, no surprises.

Once you sign up, you will receive an email when they have surveys for you, but I check my Paid ViewPoint account a few times a week to see if there are any available, just in case I miss emails from them.
Obviously, I won’t be quitting my day job because of these surveys, but a little extra money never hurts.

IT Professionals: Make $10 by writing Software Reviews with G2!

I received an email from G2 this morning, and they are currently looking for IT professionals to write reviews about selected IT software (you can see a few of the types of software they are interested in the photo below)

G2 is a peer-to-peer review site. If you are looking to learn about new software before you purchase it, G2 is a great place to look.

Right now G2 is offering $10 Amazon gift cards to those who review software that you have used. Specifically IT software, but they frequently have other types of software they want reviewed.

It’s a quick, easy way to share your opinions of software and earn a little extra.

Plus, once you have reviewed for them, they will contact you when they are looking for more reviews (with incentives). I earn about $30/month from G2 writing reviews. It doesn’t take long, and it gives me a little extra fun money.

You will need to log in with either Google Business credentials or your LinkedIn account.

I received an email from iSecretShop recently, and while I don’t have time for this project, I thought some of you might be interested.

Part of iSecretShop is their scanning project. Currently, They are recruiting for Shopping Scout scan shoppers. Shopping Scout scan shops are available in your area. During the session, they go over what is expected during these shops. They also offer a self-guided process if you cannot attend the live presentation. Once you have completed the free course and passed the test, you will become certified, which allows you to request these shops through isecretshop.com

To participate in this covert project, you will scan approximately 1900 SKUs/items at Costco using a free app on your smartphone. Please note that you will need a Costco membership (or another legitimate means of entry) to enter Costco.

It’s not all beach trips and hot girl summer here. This mama needs to earn a little cash on the side to afford all the gas to get around! BTW, if you are looking for a way to save on gas, check out this post.

TikTok “Side Hustles” Tested (so you don’t have to).

This post has been like 6 months in the making. It really took me that long to try a majority of these “easy side hustles” as so many are advertised on TikTok.

Disclaimer: Most of these are fairly easy, however, they do take time, and many of them have high payouts, so it will take time to earn enough to cash out. If you wanted to make a go of it and work through several of these sites, you could make good money. But keep in mind there are a lot of people doing the same thing, so there may not be a lot of tasks or potential jobs/freelance opportunities in your area. Also, these are all independent contractor positions, meaning if you earn over $600 per site, you will have to pay taxes on earnings (I’m not a tax guru, consult yours with specific questions).

Some other suggestions that TikToker’s had to earn money:

  • Manage a Bird.com fleet (Those are the electric scooters- they are only available in limited areas)
  • Sell with Amazon FBA
  • Flipping stuff (buying at a low price at thrift stores, garage sales, even FB marketplace) and selling it online for a profit.
  • Selling books from Dollar Tree/thrift stores (Scan UPC through Amazon app to see if the books have a good selling price).
  • Make Coloring books, journals, worksheet books in Canva and upload them to Amazon to sell. This one takes a while to do.
  • Upload free art from Canva to sites like redbubble or other print-on-demand sites where you can earn money when people buy items with images you’ve uploaded (journals are pretty popular recommendations).
  • Make educational worksheets, family binder sheets, or organizational worksheets and sell them via Etsy as PDF’s.

Bottom Line- I tried about 10 of these, and I didn’t make tons of money (less than $100 over 6 months all told). A lot of these sites have received a large influx of new users and they don’t have tasks/jobs that I was interested in/had time for. I made worksheets and had them on my Etsy store, but after three months and not selling any, I took them down (It was costing me money to have them listed). I have a part-time day job and some gigs/side hustles that I already do, so I don’t think I’ll be adding in any of these in the near future.

My 2022 plan is to work the gigs I already do and look for some new endeavors over the summer to make money, and of course, if I come upon anything new and cool, I’ll definitely share it with you.
