We’ve been receiving their boxes for 3 years and it’s an amazing value.
As you can tell from the lack of blog posts and social media posts/shares lately, I’ve been swamped. Getting ready for time off school for the kids, traveling to visit friends between Christmas and New Year, shopping, helping family, and busting out my end-of-year to-do list has been exhausting.
I did not do a New Year’s Resolution series this year, but I have done them in the past, and you can find that series of articles here. It includes the top ten NYR’s including saving money and getting organized.
I’ve been using a lot of Canva‘s really great templates for my new organizing stuff (Yes I have paper copies- the ADHD folks in my house need the reminders). It’s free and it’s so easy to use. In addition to the organizing sheets, I’ve made pantry and freezer inventory sheets, calendars, stuff for my day job, birthday party invitations, tutorials- Canva is pretty amazing. And it’s free!
Have a wonderful holiday season, whatever you celebrate. After the first of the year, there will be a Target Gift Card giveaway!

I found out about this recently and thought I would share this resource. I’m sure some of you might need this service. The La Maestra Clinic in El Cajon has a Special Needs Dental Clinic. They specialize in helping kids with special needs get the dental work they need.
They accept Medi-Cal, cash, and most insurances. Walk-ins are welcome.
Yup, it’s International Cake Day. I’m celebrating with the kids by baking a cake later this afternoon.
If you are looking for a way to celebrate at home, here are my tips for making a cake mix taste more like a scratch-baked cake.
Here are a few of my favorite cake recipes:
Did you know that you don’t have to be a senior citizen to join AARP?
Seriously.
Did you know that with an AARP membership, you can score discounts and deals on travel, car buying services, and even a lower price on your cell phone contract?
Perhaps my favorite deal is saving money at Denny’s. The cost of membership pays for itself when I take the kids to Denny’s twice in one year.
Right now, in honor of Black Friday, Join AARP and pay just $9 per year with a 5-year membership and choose your FREE Gift: An insulated Trunk Organizer or Red and Gray Spider Splash Day Bag.
AARP provides you with a wealth of opportunities to save money, play, learn, and volunteer.

I’m not usually a Black Friday shopping person, but this $5 sale at Cents of Style is pretty good. I love their shirts, so I checked out their sale offerings, and they got some cute shirts!
In addition to the cute graphic t-shirts, they have hoodies, accessories, tote bags, and baseball caps all for $5.00 each.
I’ve already loaded up my cart and checked out, checking off two people on my gift-giving list, and I picked up a shirt just for me!
My absolute favorite item that’s on sale for $5.00 is this super cute tote bag.
With a 13″ x 14.5″ body and 9″ Handle Drop, it’s great for all of my stuff for work- My Planner, lunch box (yes, I have one), bottle of water.
Cents of Style has limited supplies of these sale items, so get shopping! Don’t forget FREE shipping over $40! The collection is active NOW and expires on 11/30/23 at midnight.
