Today is National Donut Day! Did you know there are two donut days?

Ok, so first let’s find out why there are two National Donut Days... Thanks Mental Floss.

Now that we’ve figured out that mystery, it’s onto the free donuts….

There aren’t a lot of free donut deals here in California, but there are some BOGO offers.

So it’s National Coffee Day.

In the past, there have been tons of freebies, but now… not so much.

I’m only posting deals available in Southern CA that are easy and FREE.

And, AHEM… THERE ARE NO STARBUCKS FREE COFFEE OFFERS FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LOCATIONS.

Krispy Kreme: Krispy Kreme rewards members get a free brewed coffee and doughnut of their choice Wednesday, no purchase necessary. Non-rewards members also can get a treat – a free brewed coffee with no required purchase.

Also, through Dec. 31, get a free glazed doughnut for showing a valid COVID-19 vaccination card.

If you have a Circle K nearby, this is a cool freebie: Text FREE to 31310 for a free cup of joe offer Wednesday.

There are free coffee WHEN YOU BUY offers or just straight deals. So if you are heading to Dunkin’, Coffee bean and Tea Leaf,  or Barnes and Noble, here are a few free with purchase offers.

Barnes & Noble: Get a free hot or iced tall coffee Wednesday with the purchase of any item from the “bake case” at store cafes.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: With any food or beverage purchase $2 or more, get a free regular size brewed coffee Wednesday.

Dunkin’: If you are a Dunkin’ Rewards member (download the app from wherever you get apps), you can score a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase today.

McDonald’s:  99-cent hot or iced coffee through the end of the year on its app.

 

Freebies: 9/29/19 is National Coffee Day!

Sunday is a high holiday in our house: 9/29/19 is National Coffee Day. To celebrate, here are a smattering of freebies and deals.

7/11: Score any size Coffee for $1.00- Just make sure to scan your 7Rewards loyalty app at checkout.

Corner Bakery: Get any size brewed coffee or cold brew for free (with any purchase)  at participating locations from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.

Caribou Coffee: They are celebrating on 9/29/19 with a medium size hot coffee for $1, a medium Cold Press Black for $2 or a Nitro Black coffee for $3.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Get a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee when you spend $2 or more on a bakery or food item.

Dunkin’: America Runs on it, and Sunday 9/29/19, anyone who purchases a regular hot coffee at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide will score another hot coffee (the same size or smaller) for free.

And the best one for the year: Krispy Kreme! Through 9/29/19, participating shops nationwide will give away one Koffee Cream doughnut and one free cup of coffee to customers, no coupon or app needed!

Cinnabon is offering a free 12-ounce coffee all day on Sunday, 9/29/19

If your local Barnes & Noble has a cafe inside, stop by! Customers get a free hot or iced tall coffee with the purchase of any bakery case item on Sunday, September 29, 2019.

Freebies for Donut Day on June 1st!

So far as I can tell, the only place giving away FREE DONUTS with locations in CA and NO PURCHASE is.. Krispy Kreme!

Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away a free Classic Donut with the purchase of any drink.

There are no Duck Donuts locations in CA yet, but it looks like they are all over the East Coast…  Enjoy a FREE Classic Duck Donut on June 1, 2018 including cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar or bare. NO purchase is required!

There are plenty of location, regional chains and independent Donut shops that participate too!  If you know of one, please leave a comment!

National Coffee Day, 9/29/16

Thursday is National Coffee Day, and while the free coffee doesn’t flow freely here in San Diego, I was able to find a few deals we can take advantage of!

Krispy Kreme- Free Coffee and a Donut. Details on their Facebook Page.

Dunkin Donuts- Not free, but 66¢ Medium-sized Hot Coffee all day. Details on their Facebook Page. 

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Starbucks and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf aren’t doing any in-store freebies or deals.  There are other places back east, like WaWa and Pilot Flying J have free coffee offers, but they are no where near me.
