Who wants free hair color?

If you are waving your arms around shouting, “Me, Me”, then you have come to the right post.

I color my hair.  I won’t lie.  Looking this awesome isn’t cheap, but it can be when you sign up for L’oreal Gold Rewards.

Screen Shot 2015-07-10 at 6.05.58 PMWhen you enter 5 codes found inside L’Oreal boxes, but you can also find them free online (Check here), you’ll receive a coupon for a free box of L’Oreal hair color.  They also have a free sample that you can try for each Monday.  There are only 500 samples available, I’ve never gotten one.  But getting free hair color is even better.

You can enter 2 codes per month, and Gold Rewards members have a shot at receiving one awesome freebie per month (information available on their website).

Screen Shot 2015-07-10 at 6.06.07 PMI received a coupon for a box of free hair color 2 weeks ago, and I redeemed it for some much needed Light Auburn. Now I’m looking a bit less disheveled. Just a bit. I still have spit up on my shirt…

I cropped out the evidence of spit up on my shirt!

For those of us who color our hair, share a hair coloring secret.  How often do you re-color?  What’s your favorite brand and color? What’s your biggest hair color disaster?  I was platinum blonde!  OY Vey, thankfully there is no photographic evidence!

Summer Fun with Kids at Oggi’s Liberty Station!

OggisGot littles? Trying a fun way to keep them entertained this summer without breaking the banks? Check out these awesome deals from Oggi’s in Liberty Station.

1: Kids eat free all day Wednesday with the purchase of any adult entree.

2: Kids can make their own personal pizza starting at 11:00am. That’s what we did today, and Lil’ Man had a blast. I wish I had gotten photos of the pizza once it was baked, however, he inhaled it.

The pizza dough is rolled out in the kitchen and brought out with sauce and cheese for the kids to add as much as they want.  Then there is a table of toppings for the kids to choose from (By the time I got over there to take photos, most of the little bowls were empty because all of the kids were having a blast topping their pizzas!). Lil’ Man is a strictly cheese only pizza guy, so we just asked for a little extra cheese.

I sampled some really tasty grown up noms today too. Here were my top three favorites:Marathon-flatbread-2

Fun (and some free) Stuff to do this weekend around Comic Con!

Screen Shot 2015-07-07 at 7.03.15 PM
Yup, this is Hubs as Louise Belcher from Bob’s Burgers last year at SDCC. Yup, I made the dress and the hat.

Didn’t get tickets to Comic Con? Don’t feel bad, a lot of people didn’t. BUT- that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun and festivities going on downtown.  There are lots of free activities going on in the Gaslamp and surrounding areas.

Here are links to a few resources. Not everything is free, and not everything is kid friendly or kid appropriate. I suggest you vet all of the activities first either with a phone call or a quick google search. Comics aren’t just for kids anymore.

A New Month means New Coupons!

file000786402730I saw a reader today at Walgreens (She recognized Lil’ Man) and she asked why I stopped reminding readers that there are new coupons at the beginning of each month.  I told that I shifted my focus away from deals and couponing, but she asked if I could *please* bring back my once a month reminder posts. So Here ya go Liz, just for you!! But, remember, there are no coupons this weekend due to the holiday!

A new month means new printable and electronic coupons!

Check out the following sites:

You can also sign up for Free Printable coupon alerts via email.  You’ll get an email whenever printable coupons meeting your search parameters are available!

One of my favorite website is the Sunday Coupon Review.  It helps me plot out scenarios in advance and I can email friends to ask for coupons in advance.

Little Passports: Only 1 day left to save 15%!

**The links in this post are affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.

I love Little Passports! It’s a super cute program designed to help kids learn about the world around them.  Henry and I checked it out earlier in the year and it was really fun. They have three programs based on your child’s age.

It makes a great gift: It’s affordable, educational, and it’s not something that clutters your house with one more piece of  plastic schtuff (which right now, I feel is super important- we’ve been purging out all of the plastic, icky, broken, or neglected toys in favor of more educational, creative play toys and crafts).

Your Cool Summer Savings are here!
Little Passports is offering 15% off ANY subscription plan. All you need to do is use code:SUMMER15 at check out. But hurry- these cool summer savings end tomorrow June 16th!!

**This promotion is valid online only at www.littlepassports.com. To redeem enter code SUMMER15 at checkout.
