Brightlife Kids is fully paid for by the State of California. Working to ensure all California families can find the behavioral health support they need when they need it. You qualify if you have a California zip code and a child ages 0–12.
Kids ages 0–12 get free, expert coaching for the following issues:
- Tough transitions like divorce, moving, new classroom/school, new sibling.
- Tantrums and big emotions (anxiety, anger)
- Focus and Organizational Skills
- And more

What I learned this week: One can still contract Pertussis despite being vaccinated against it. How do I know? Both my kids got it. I took yesterday off from work, and the littlest one and I saw the pediatrician, who confirmed that both kids had it (The big one saw a doctor the day before).
Back in the “olden times” of couponing, the first of the month was the best day for money savers. New coupons would be available to print; the first Sunday of the month (barring any holidays) would have a lot of new high-value coupons.
This year, 14 new hikes have been added to the schedule. Bridge to Nowhere in Eagle Peak Preserve, Kwaamii Point in Cleveland National Forest, and Ash Wash in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park are just a few examples of the new trails they’ll be exploring. Hikes are free, but advance registration is appreciated. Participants can register 
These drinks, the Heywell and Stur, were buy one, get one free. And since I need some back-to-school beverages, I picked them up. The Sturs will go into my lunch box, and the Heywells will get stashed in the fridge at work for mornings when I need a little extra pick-me-up.
