JCPenney: Buy 1, Get 2 Free Towels!!

This sale is amazing and comes at a great time. This weekend only, through 9/14/25, all towels (kitchen and bath) and bath rugs are buy 1, get 2 free.

This is a great deal, and if you have JCP rewards cash to spend, pick up some free/cheap towels!

I got three bath sheets (30×60) for $2.16 after the sale and $20 in JCP Rewards cash.

I like the Home Expressions Quick Dri® Benzoyl Peroxide Friendly Bath Towel because certain people in my house use oxy pads (yes those still exist) and other face products that contain Benzoyl Peroxide, and that can bleach out other towels. I also like white towels because you can bleach them.

So if you need to refresh your linen closet this weekend, JCP is a great place to start!

September 2025: First of the Month Savings!

Back in the “olden times” of couponing, the first of the month was the best day for money savers. New coupons would be available to print; the first Sunday of the month (barring any holidays) would have a lot of new high-value coupons.

The first of the month means apps have refreshed their deals. For the complete list of apps I use and recommend, check out my apps page here. My top two favorites are Fetch and Ibotta.

Coupons.com is still around, but they don’t have too many high-value coupons. The same company owns the app Checkout51, which tends to have a better selection of offers.

Store apps have also refreshed their offers and coupons. If you have not downloaded your favorite stores’ apps, go do it. You are leaving money on the table.

Rebate apps like Aisle and  WeStock also refresh and add new offers on the first of each month.  Social Nature frequently adds new offers at the beginning of each month.

If you are a drugstore shopper, check your drugstore apps for new coupons- I suggest “clipping” the coupons for brands you like as soon as you see them. They may go on sale sometime during the month, and you’ll have your savings locked and loaded!

Instead of reaching for our newspapers and scissors, we use our phones to select our offers. Think of modern couponing as saving both time and money!

Got a Baby? Score a $5 off Huggies coupon!

I saw this on Tiktok, and this offer is slightly different, but it’s still pretty good.

If you’ve got a kid in diapers or you are expecting (or know someone who is), head over to the Huggies website here.

Once you arrive, you’ll see Save up to $10 on Huggies® Snug & Dry™ Diapers. Try the new & improved Snug & Dry™ softness- Click on it.

Enter the requested information, and then you will receive a text to confirm it’s you.

The offer is mobile, so you’ll have to do it on your phone.

You will select your store, and once you are in the store and ready to check out, open your phone and pull up the offer.

Show your offer to the cashier; there are instructions for them to follow. They scan the barcode on your phone and presto- you’ve saved $5!

Stocking up on Beverages for less with Cash Back Apps!

All of these drinks were free after rebates.

Last night I did a little rebate shopping. I went to Target and Sprouts, and it took less than 20 minutes between the two stores.

I’ve a beverage girl. I need at least 2 beverages at all times. One is water, but the second one needs to be functional. So, a protein coffee, a vitamin, or an electrolyte drink.

Recently, my favorite apps,  WeStock,  Social Nature, and Aisle all have had great rebates and deals on beverages and snacks.

The only one of these drinks I’ve had before was the Trip Calming beverage, and it was really good. I’m not a big adaptogen/mushroom person, but it was not at all earthy/mushroomy.

These drinks, the Heywell and Stur, were buy one, get one free. And since I need some back-to-school beverages, I picked them up. The Sturs will go into my lunch box, and the Heywells will get stashed in the fridge at work for mornings when I need a little extra pick-me-up.

If you haven’t checked out WeStock,  Social Nature, and Aisle yet, now is a great time. There are tons of offers available, and reimbursement is super easy and can be done from your phone in a matter of minutes.

These apps allow me to treat myself to something new and fun without breaking the bank. I pay with my Venmo debit card, and all of the apps pay via Venmo, so I’m able to roll my rebate money forward.

Merryfield- The app that rewards you for healthy eating!

Have you heard of Merryfield? It’s a cashback app that partners with healthy food brands (the complete list can be found here) to offer you cashback when you make purchases.

What I like about Merryfield is that it is not store-specific in most cases, but it does have a few store-specific deals.

The app also offers to automatically connect and scan your receipts from retailers, including Amazon, Instacart, Target, Walmart, Sprouts, Kroger, and Albertsons.

You can select specific offers to earn specific point values. See the picture with a few of the deals.

My favorite is that you can select from the list of brands here, make purchases, and receive points or cashback.

Points and cashback can be redeemed in the app for gift cards. Currently, there are 23 gift cards to choose from. Redemptions start at $5 (5000 points).

Here are just a few examples of the brands that Merryfield has partnered with and the value of their redemptions:

  • Alaffia 1 point per $1
  • Alice Mushrooms 5% cash back
  • Allagash 5% cash back
  • Amy’s Kitchen 1 point per $1
  • Applegate 5% cash back
  • Artisan Tropic 5% cash back
  • Athletic Brewing 1 point per $1
  • Barilla 5% cash back
  • Califia Farms 2.5% cash back
  • Canyon Bakehouse 1 point per $1
  • Caulipower 5% cash back
  • Cerebelly 1 point per $1
  • CLEAN Cause 5% cash back
  • Cleveland Kitchen 5% cash back

With over 80 brands partnering with Merryfield, there are sure to be brands that you regularly buy!

And as far as I know, you can combine offers on Merryfield with other apps and cash back rebates (such as  WeStockPeekageSocial Nature, and Aisle) to maximize your savings.

To get started, search for Merryfield wherever you get apps. There is no referral code needed!

Back to School Shopping at Kohl’s!

I love shopping at Kohl’s. They have great deals on clothes and home goods.

Between their coupons and sales, their prices are comparable to JCP, and I find that most Kohl’s locations have a better shoe selection than JCP.

My tips for saving at Kohl’s:

  1. If you are a Kohl’s Rewards Member, log on to your account and check your wallet for any coupons before shopping.
  2. Kohl’s has a decent clearance section in-store and online. Usually, their clearance is included in coupons and sales.
  3. One thing I really like about Kohl’s is their buy online, ship to store feature. I also like their buy online, pick up in store.
  4. Most Kohl’s have Sephora locations in the middle of their stores. You can use your Sephora coupons and birthday freebie offers in those locations.
  5. Kohl’s has an incredible toy selection, and their coupons and Kohl’s Cash can be used on toys (restrictions apply, of course), and the Kohl’s Cash I earn with back-to-school shopping can help me offset the cost of holiday gifts/toys.
